AIR HANDLING UNIT MAINTENANCE

At either end of a supply or extract ventilation system there is an air handling unit or extraction fan. The cleanliness and performance of the system can be compromised if debris builds up on the coils in the chambers and on the fan blades.

Condensation is also frequently present within an air-handling unit, which provides your heated or chilled air. The resultant moisture builds up can cause corrosion to drip into trays and floors. These can be repaired and coated to provide a cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire unit and alongside filter changing will bring the performance of the unit back up to that of the day it was installed.

Occasionally the air handling units need the drive belts and pullies replaced so performance is maintained, or we may need to alter the airflow to get the unit working better.
